Are you a freshman or sophomore that wants to have fun? Are you looking for more extracurricular activities? Do you want to be part of a team? Then join boys volleyball. There is no experience required. If you have never played volleyball before, don’t worry, we will teach you how. Our JV team has lost one game in the last two years, the past year we were undefeated, and half of the team never played volleyball before! Last year Varsity finished with a 7-3 record, but lost in the first round of the playoffs. Vowing never to let that happen again, we are not accepting anything, but total domination, not only in our conference, but in the playoffs as well. So come join and help us win our conference, or if you are on JV keep the streak going by having another undefeated season. We are losing seven seniors this year so we are looking for athletes to take their place once they are gone.
You may be asking yourself:
Is volleyball the right sport for me?
Will I have a ton of fun and meet great people?
Why play volleyball?
Because it is fun, and that’s what sports are meant to be!!
How can I join the team?
Email our coach at email@example.com and he will be glad to hear from you.
I am a sophomore and did not play my freshman year, can I still join?
Yes, 2 sophomores and 2 juniors joined last year and one started varsity, with little to no experience beforehand.
Do I have what it takes to be part of the volleyball team here at Seton-La Salle High School?
Yes, as long as you have the will to never accept defeat.
How can volleyball help me in the future?
Being involved in a high school sport is one of the best things you can put on your resume. Having a high school sport on your job application tells your employer that you know what it means to be part of a team, you know how to work with others, and that you can handle personal responsibility. Plus, volleyball is a great way to stay in shape and add that extra six inches to that dunk you have been working on. Why not have fun and improve your future at the same time?
If volleyball sounds interesting to you come to one of our open gyms. And they are exactly that, open. Anyone considering the boys’ volleyball team can come. The times and dates of volleyball open gyms can be heard on the morning announcements or you can ask senior Adam Marasco. Come ready to play and have a great time. Looking forward to seeing you there!
