The term “comeback kid,” is someone who can overcome adversities and come out on top. That phrase is exemplified by the Seton LaSalle Boys’ Lacrosse Team. Though there were struggles last year, the team is back and ready for this upcoming season.
They are looking to recruit many players from all grades but are really hoping for underclassmen to join! It’s a great sport, allowing those a way to stay active and make a lot of friends! Boys lax is a spring sport but they started training and practicing already to be prepared for season. At the moment, there are about 7 players, but the team is ready for new members. You just need some hand-eye coordination and determination, and you’ll be ready to play.
Being that this team is a very close knit group, the coaches and seniors will be willing to help you join and fit right in. Senior Josh Blamer says, “Advice for incoming players is to put the time in and it’ll show in the sport.”
Senior player Zachary Folino says “ We are rebuilding the team, so just go out there and be yourself!” Folino’s favorite memory from last season was the win against Winchester Thurston.
The players are ready and excited for this year to come and we’re looking forward to a great season for them. Any questions be sure to ask their head coach, Matt Unger. Just like Nicholas McNally said, “ I’m coming back senior year, and we’re coming out strong!”
