Do you know what the Seton – La Salle International Club is really about? The purpose of the club is to reach out to the international community both at Seton- La Salle and throughout the Pittsburgh area. The group attends many cultural events in order to experience a variety of cultures. Originally the International Club was formed to help international students feel part of the Seton – La Salle community and share their culture with their fellow students. However it is open to all students interested.
The International Club participates in service projects throughout the year. The club spends a whole week dedicated to different cultures. Club members decorate the cafeteria and hallways and hang up many different flag throughout the school. Also the dress down day they sponsor during international week brings in about $500. We all know and look forward to their bake sale. The proceeds from their bake sales are used to help out not only the Seton – La Salle community, but also the international community. They donate around $175 worth of books to an English as a second language classroom at a local elementary school.
The club meets after school in room 316 every 4th Wednesday of the month. The club’s next meeting is September 28th .While the club already had their first meeting, new members are always welcome at any time.
