In recognition of the three seniors on the girls basketball team, there was a presentation and speeches followed by dinner after they beat Oakland Catholic at Seton-La Salle on Monday, February 11th.  Seniors Angela Heintz, Katherine Hart and Natalie Piaggesi were recognized for all their successes.

In the library after the game, there was a slideshow of pictures taken throughout the basketball season, some from the seniors 4 years at Seton-La Salle and also some baby pictures of the 3 girls.  After, they headed over to the cafeteria and the team presented meaningful speeches and then ate dinner together with their families.

They beat Oakland 66-52.  This year the Seton-La Salle girls basketball team went undefeated in section.  These 3 seniors have never lost a game on their home court.

Senior Katherine Hart said, “It was weird knowing it was my last home game but it wasn’t too sad because I know we still have practice and playoff games ahead of us.”

Sophomore Giavanna Facchiano talked about how the seniors made an impact and help the team thrive.  She said

“They have worked really hard and always come with a positive attitude everyday.”  Sophomore Julie DeKlaven commented

“The things I will miss most about the seniors are their leadership and how they put others before themselves and they always know what to say to make other people happy.”
