Cute DIY St. Patrick’s Day shirt and socks!!!!!

A helpful DIY idea to make super cute St. Patrick’s Day shirt!

What you need:

  • Pair of white socks
  • White T Shirt
  • Lime Green Fabric Dye
  • Bucket
  • Salt
  • Rubber Bands
  • Gold Spray Glitter
  • Leaf Green Dimensional Fabric Paint
  • Four leaf clover stencil

To make the socks:

 

Step 1: Take the socks and roll them up like you do when you tie-dye and wrap them in rubber bands.

 

Step 2: Pour steaming hot water into the bucket and add 4 tablespoons of salt and mix thoroughly.

Step 3: After the salt is mixed, add the green fabric dye and stir until dissolved.

 

Step 4: Put the socks in the bucket, and stir continuously for 15 minutes.

 

Step 5; After the 15 minutes leave socks in the dye for 45 minutes with occasional stirring.

 

Step 6: After 45 minutes, take socks out and rinse out under cold water to get rid of excess dye.

 

Step 7:  Put in washing machine and then you’re ready to wear your tie-dye green socks!!!

To make the shirt:

 

Step 1: Cut out four leaf clover stencil and trace it onto the shirt with pencil.

 

Step 2:  Take green fabric paint and make small dots along the outline you made of the clover.

 

Step 3: Sporadically place dots around the outline of the clover.

Step 4: Take the gold glitter and spray the inside of the clover.

 

Step 5: Let dry overnight and wear on Saint Patrick’s Day!!!
