Seton La Salle is currently preparing for the annual Career Day that will take place on April 10, 2019. Career Day is an informational day that allows students to learn more about the various careers they can choose for their future. Each year, there are speakers from a variety of careers who tell the students about their educational background, experience in their field, and their daily activities. Students choose a few fields of their interest and attend “sessions” of instruction on that field of work.
Mrs. Caves, the Junior and Senior guidance counselor and a main organizer of this event, told me that there will be around 60-70 speakers. She also said that the more “popular” fields such as medical, engineering, and law will be covered. Two big interests among high school students are physical therapy and athletic training, which will also be covered. In addition to this, Seton La Salle is improving the students’ experience by adding a 4th session of learning instead of the 3 sessions that were attended last year. The administration is certainly doing its part to make Career Day 2019 very promising for the students of Seton LaSalle.
