Seton-La Salle’s 2016 Junior/Senior Prom is this Thursday from 6-11 at the Omni William Penn Hotel. Students, like Alexis Cook, are hopeful that this will be one to remember. She will be crowning the Senior Prom Queen and King along with Victoria McNemar. When being asked if she thought this year’s dance will be better than last years, she said, “I think it will be better because the hotel is so beautiful and the menu choices are more appealing to the students. The photo booth, which was a hit last year, is also returning.”
The menu for the night consists of a classic caesar salad, either chicken parmesan or pasta primavera for the main entree, and Omni William Penn cheesecake with strawberry sauce for dessert! The DJ has requested a song list this year and students involved in the Dance Committee were permitted to fill in a google document with some of their favorite dance songs to be taken into consideration. He was the DJ for Homecoming this year and previous years and has never disappointed. Ticket sales were extended a few extra days for students who missed the deadline and yet still really wanted to attend.
Ms. Metting, our Dance Committee Moderator said about the Omni William Penn, “It’s the most beautiful ballroom in the city, and the most historic.” She confirmed that 218 students bought tickets, which were 75$ for the early bird special and 85$ regular price, and will be guests at this special event.
